Guacolda Energía SpA

A company dedicated to the generation and sale of electricity with more than 30 years of experience in the electric sector in Chile. It supplies primarily to mining-industrial and commercial clients, mostly in the northern-central region.

The Guacolda thermoelectric power plant, located in Huasco, Atacama Region, consists of five coal-fired generating units, equipped with advanced technology for emission control, complying with environmental regulations.

Each of these units is equipped with cutting-edge technology for emission control, allowing it to strictly meet environmental standards and the commitments made in its environmental permits.

At Guacolda, around 210 direct employees and nearly 700 highly specialized collaborators work. Guacolda Energía is not only an important source of employment in the region, but also promotes a social and community support program, collaborating with farmers, entrepreneurs, artisanal fishermen, and funding educational, health, and sports projects.
